Classification of anti cancer agents with example

Antineoplastic agents are drugs used to treat cancer by killing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. 

They can be classified into different types based on their mechanism of action, such as:

ALKYLATING AGENTs 


ANTIMETABOLITEs


PLATINUM Co-ODRINATION COMPOUNDs 

Example: Carboplatin 

ANTICANCER ANTIBIOTICs (Anthracycline) 

Example: Doxorubicin & Daunorubicin
